Duratop Epoxy Fume Hood Bases
FUME HOOD BASES are produced in all 9 custom DURATOP epoxy colors, in a wide variety of sizes with integral dished marine edges, pipe slots, cup sink cutouts, etc., to meet industry requirements. Over one hundred fifty (150+) molds are currently in stock to conform with industry size / shape specifications or requirements, in core thickness of 3/4" and 1" (19mm & 25mm) base cores with 1/4" to 1/2" (6 mm to 12.5 mm) marine edge, factory molded or applied.
Bench top fume hood countertops should be epoxy resin dished countertops to provide containment in the fume hood (per NFPA 45 8.8.1.3 – 2004 Edition). The marine edge or no-drip edge provides a containment or spill retention barrier that increases the performance of the fume hood base work surface.
Standard Duratop epoxy resin dished fume hood work surfaces or tops are molded 1 1/4" (32 mm) or 1" (25 mm) thick with a minimum 22 .75" (578 mm) to 24.75" (629 mm) wide dish area or variations as required. The combination of chemical resistance, physical properties, heat resistance and most importantly fire resistance are attributes that set Duratop Epoxy apart from phenolic resin, poly resin or other work surfaces.
