Responding to the need of the residential homeowner and commercial entities for an abrasion resistant counter top, Resistop High-Wear is available to meet those requirements. Produced in solid black or brown phenolic core and decorative granite and marble like surfaces, solids, wood grains, patterns, or black surfaces, Resistop High-Wear is five times more wear resistant than standard grade melamine laminates, rivaling solid granite and stone tops for durability and functionality. Increased wear resistance is achieved in the manufacturing process by the addition of ceramic particles on the counter top surface. The superior wear resistance of Resistop HW offers a confidence level previously only seen in more expensive counter top materials. To be clear, wear resistance is defined by the industry as "increased abrasion and scuff resistance."
Resistop HW is environmentally friendly, made in the U.S.A. and produced with 40% post-consumer paper and 100% water-based paint and inks. This product was initially installed in such commercial applications as buffet counters, salad bars, check out counters, bar tops, and restaurant counters.

Resistop HW is now available for residential use and extended commercial applications. It is sure to please the most discriminating homeowner or designer with its versatility, affordability, and aesthetic attributes.
RESISTOP-4-KITCHENS and VANITIES
Composed of layers of thermo fused Kraft papers, solid phenolic core RESISTOP is produced under high heat (up to 280 F) and extreme pressure (up to 1200 psi), to form a single homogenous composite panel throughout the thickness. The molecules in the resin cross link with one another to form an inert solid and highly stable composite panel product. The solid phenolic panel is not bonded or glued to a MDF or particle board substrate, like typical laminates and to some degree other surfacing materials. As a full thickness panel, the counter top can easily be fabricated with carbide tipped wood working tools and routers. The panel is attached to the base cabinets with self-tapping screws, epoxy cemented to the frame, or both.
Kitchen and bath counter tops are typically custom designed to meet the needs and budget of the individual homeowner. Counter tops are generally the last item chosen after cabinets, fixtures, etc., but are equally as important to the overall aesthetic experience when designing kitchen and vanity areas.
RESISTOP-HW offers a wide variety of sheet sizes and thickness options. Over 200 colors and patterns are available, in eight texture finishes, with a black or brown phenolic core that accentuates the edge detail and complements cabinetry and flooring.
RESISTOP-HW is structurally strong in order to allow contractors to fabricate and attach under counter mounted or lipped drop-in sinks for a sleek aesthetic look. The edges of RESISTOP are easily fabricated to create a bold look with radius, half or full bull nose, laminated bull nose, ogee, or other details as desired.
Sheet material is provided in sizes 48" and 60" wide x 96"; 120" and 144" maximum length. Thickness is available in 1/4"; 1/2"; 5/8"; 3/4"; and 1" and 1 1/4" . The recommended thickness for under mount sink attachments is 1" thickness.
