Trespa TopLab Plus™

Trespa TopLabPlus®

Trespa TopLabPLUS is a self-supporting flat panel using a manufacturing process (including EBC technology) that Trespa International BV has developed and patented, with a patented cellulose fiber, homogeneously reinforced phenolic thermosetting resin core. Its integrated, decorative surface, manufactured under high heat and pressure, is based on pigmented, electron beam cured resins, is resistant to the most aggressive chemicals and easy to clean and maintain. TopLabPLUS can easily be cut or formed, allowing a whole new level of design freedom for applications in chemical, analytical, micro-biological and educational laboratories world-wide.

The panel has an integrated decorative chemical resistant surface based on pigmented, electron beam cured resins - making it nearly invulnerable to damage from harsh chemicals, solvents or other acidic applications, and aggressive chemicals. Edge protection is unnecessary as the solid phenolic core is also impervious to chemical attack, and repeated cleaning never detracts from functionality or appearance.

Biological and Clinical Laboratories

By definition, biochemical and medical laboratories need to be extremely clean and sterile. Because experiments and test results depend on non-contamination, working surfaces have to be exceptionally resistant, impervious and hygienic. This is the reason why Trespa TopLabPLUS is used in laboratories worldwide. In biochemical and medical lab facilities where radio-isotopes, human tissue and blood samples or bacteria are present, a more thorough cleaning may be required for disinfecting Trespa TLP. The use of strong alcohols, aldehydes, phenols, quaternary ammonium compounds, ethanols (70%), formaldehyde (1%, 5%), p-chloro-m-cresol )0.3%), tosyl chloride-Na (1%) and alkyldimethyl-benzyl-ammonium chloride-Na (0.1%) are advisable for use in this disinfecting process.
